Is Cooking Crafty?

I think so!!! So here is a great recipe for you. These French Toast Roll-Ups are a hit whenever I serve them. They are super easy and I love that I can pull a few out of the freezer and pop them in the oven and it is a warm breakfast fast! Enjoy!!

French Toast Roll-Ups
1 8oz package cream chesse, softened
1 egg yolk
24 slices white sandwich bread
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 cup sugar, divided
1 cube butter, melted

In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, egg yolk, and 1/4 cup sugar until smooth; set aside.
Cut the crust off each slice of brad then roll out each slice with a rolling pin. Spread the cheese mixture over the bread, distributing evenly. Roll up bread slice jelly roll syle. In a shallow dish, mix remaining 3/4 cup sugar and the cinnamon. In a separate dish melt the butter. Roll each roll-up in the butter and then in the sugar and cinnamon mixture. Cover and freeze for at least 2 hours. Place roll-ups seam side down on a baking sheet. Bake at 400 for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Roll-ups can be frozen up to 2 months. I like to serve with Buttermilk Syrup.

Buttermilk Syrup
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons corn syrup
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

In a sauce pan, combine the first five ingredients; bring to a boil. Boil for 7 minutes. Remove from the heat; stir in vanilla.
